Pot Handle Cover
Finished size: Approximately 5 x 2 inches
Materials:
(US) size G hook, small amount Worsted Weight Cotton in desired color (Example was made using Peaches ‘n Cream’s Spring Meadows)
**If you need a cover that is a bit smaller or larger you can adjust the hook size accordingly by going up or down one size.
Chain 20
NOTE: turning ch does not count as a stitch.
Row 1: sc in second ch from hook, ch 1, turn. (19 sc)
Row 2: sc in front loop only of 1st sc, (sc in back loop only of next sc, sc in front loop only of next sc) 9 times, ch 1, turn.
Rows 3-13: Repeat row 2, do not turn at the end of row 13.
Joining: sl st in end of rows 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, and 7. Fold the piece in half lengthwise, sl st through the ends of rows 6 and 8 both at the same time, (sl st through the ends of the next 2 rows both at the same time) 5 times, (working through the opposite side of the beginning ch, sl st through the next ch and the corresponding st from row 13 both at the same time) 19 times, ch 1.
Finishing: sc in end of each row around open edge of cover, join with sl st in top of beg sc.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
CAUTION: Do not leave on pot handle when not in use or while unattended on stove top or near open flame.

Felted Flower Magnet
Finished size: Approx. 2-3 inches, depending on what type of yarn is used and how it felts.
Materials:
small round magnet, small decorative button or charm (optional), (US) size H hook, small amount of worsted weight feltable wool. (Example was made using Paton’s Classic Merino Wool in Black)
Round 1: ch 3, 7 sc in 3rd ch from hook, join with sl st in top of beg ch, do not turn. (8 sc)
Round 2: ch 12, sc in same st, *(sc, ch 10, sc) in next st, rep from * around. Join with sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch 12 (this leaves 10 ch for the loop). (16 sc, and 8 ch 10 spaces)
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Felt as desired.
Glue magnet to back.
Glue or sew button or charm to center front of flower.
**Can also be made into a pin by attatching a pin back in place of the magnet.**
