Cupcake Bookmark

Materials: (US) size 7 steel hook, size 10 cotton thread: green; pink; red, tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

CUPCAKE

With green, ch 9

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1, turn.

Rows 2-9: working in BLO, sc across, ch 1, turn.

Row 10: working in BLO sc in first st and in each st scross, ch 1, working along end of rows, sc in end of rows 9, 7, and 5, ch 85, sl st in 6th ch from hook, (ch 5, sl st in same st as last sl st) twice, sl st in each ch back to bottom of cupcake, sc in ends of rows 5, 3, and 1, ch 1, working along opposite side of row 1, sc in each ch across, fasten off.

ICING:

Row 1: Join pink with sl st in end of row 10, ch 3, 4 dc in same st, sc in end of row 1, 5 dc in end of row 3, sc in end of row 5, 5 dc in end of row 7, sc in end of row 9, 5 dc in end of row 10, turn.

Row 2: skipping first st, sl st in each of next 2 sts, sc in same st, **skip next 2 dc, 5 dc in next sc, skip next 2 dc, sc in next st, rep from ** twice more, turn.

Row 3: skipping first st, sl st in each of next 2 sts, sc in same st, **skip next 2 dc, 5 dc in next sc, skip next 2 dc, sc in next st, rep from ** once more, turn.

Row 4: skipping first st, sl st in each of next 2 sts, sc in same st, skip next 2 dc, 5 dc in next sc, skip next 2 dc, sc in next st, fasten off.

CHERRY:
Join red with sl st in center dc of Icing Row 4, ch 2, *yo, insert hook into same st, yo and draw up loop, yo, draw through 2 loops, rep from * 3 times more, yo, draw through all loops on hook, ch 1, fasten off, weave in all ends.
