I love this square! Great job - I will have to try this out. One of my best friends' mother in law died of brain cancer a few years ago, but she'd been in remission from breast cancer for something like 20 years before that. I think my friend would enjoy a lapghan made with this square... I'll send a photo when I do it. Thanks for such great designs!!
ReplyDeleteI have a question about using this pattern for charity. I tried to look for an email on your blog but can't find it. :-) I do love this pattern. Thanks so much for this!!!!
ReplyDeleteKrissy, You can use the pattern freely for personal use or charity. You can't sell the finished items for personal profit, but a raffle for charity is fine. Hope that helps :)
ReplyDeleteYes!!! That answers my question perfectly!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful square! My husband is currently battling colon cancer...and I was looking for a pattern that I could use with all of the colors for various cancer awareness, to donate to the hospital he is being treated at...thank you SO much for sharing this!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful square. I will have to do some of these. I lost my husband of over 40 years, just 2 months ago to cancer in 5 places. What a horrible disease.
ReplyDeleteHi April,
ReplyDeleteI love your site and all your designs. I am currently making the Remembrance Awareness Square and its going great. Such a beautiful piece. however... i have a few questions. i notice in some of the rounds its chain 3 instead of 4. im stiching the way the pattern says and things are working out, i just want to make sure that i AM supposed to be chain 3 on some and chain 4 on others.
i have a question. as i am fairly new to crocheting patterns (and trying to break away from just back and forth crocheting blankets and scarves lol) i am not quite sure what i am doing wrong. my first square measured 10x10 1/2 and my second 11x10 1/2. i know that its supposed to be 12x12, but since i am making them to make a lapghan for my sister during chemo i wasnt too worried about gauge, but now that my 2 ive made came out different sizes even though i used the same size hook and same yarn from the same skein for both. what am i doing wrong? please help.
also round 9 total DC count is "wrong". ive stitched 2 squares and both times round 9 came out to 140 dcs. so i counted the dcs in the pattern and counted 140 as well. its no big deal just thought id inform you. please let me know if i am figuring/ counting something wrong. :)
thanks, and thanks for such a wonderful site.
